Description: This PLK-1 monoclonal antibody recognizes human MARCO, also known as SR-A6 or SCARA2. Applications Reported: This PLK-1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This PLK-1 antibody has been pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human monocyte-derived macrophages. This may be used at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser MARCO, also known as SR-A6 or SCARA2, is a macrophage surface receptor and a member of the class A scavenger receptor family. As a part of the innate antimicrobial immune system, MARCO can bind both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria via an extracellular, C-terminal, scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domain. In addition to short cytoplasmic and transmembrane domains, there is an extracellular spacer domain and a long, extracellular collagenous domain. The protein may form a trimeric molecule by the association of the collagenous domains of three identical polypeptide chains. Due to its expres
