Description: This hamster IgG fraction was purified by affinity chromatography from normal Golden Syrian hamster serum. Applications Reported: Golden Syrian hamster IgG isotype control has been reported for use in surface and intracellular flow cytometric analysis, immunohistochemcial staining, immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting (WB). Applications Tested: This istoype control antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood. Use isotype control at the same concentration as experimental antibody. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/µg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. The isotype of a primary antibody and the application it is being used in can result in background staining. Primary antibody background noise can be caused by binding to Fc receptors on target cells; by non-specific interactions with cellular proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids; or by cell autofluorescence.
