For blocking purposes, use a 5% (v/v) solution (1:20 if reconstituted at the recommended volume). Reconstitute using 2 mL distilled water and centrifuge if product is not completely clear after standing for 1-2 hrs at room temperature. Once reconstituted, the product may be stored for up to six weeks at 4ºC. Do not use for more than one day after diluting the product. For long term storage, aliquote and store at -20ºC, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. When used as an antibody diluent, non-immune serum also supplies a native chemical environment for antibodies to function properly without adding foreign protein components.
