Product Description

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire. The mammalian Phospholipase Cg (PLCg) family has two closely related proteins, PLCg1 and PLCg2. The PLCg isozymes have the core structure domains and a unique array of domains containing an additional PH domain, two SH2 domains and one SH3 domain. In response to extracellular stimuli, such as hormones and growth factors, receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) phosphorylate and activate PLCg. Activated PLCg catalyzes hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) to produce the metabolic second messenger molecules inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG).
