Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. African swine fever virus protein, p54, is an important structural protein and is highly immunogenic. Mouse mAbs, prepared against a baculovirus-expressed p54 polypeptide, recognized both conserved and variable epitopes. The mAb epitopes also reacted with sera from ASFV-infected pigs.
