PA1-18377 detects beta NGF from human, mouse, rat, and avian samples. This antibody does not react with bovine protein. A cross reactivity of less than 1% to recombinant human BDNF, NT3, NT4/5 by ELISA has been shown. PA1-18377 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western blot, and inhibition assay procedures. The PA1-18377 immunogen is native mouse beta NGF purified from submaxillary salivary gland. Reconstitute with 500 µL of distilled water. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile, ultrapure water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. Store lyophilized antibody at 2-8 °C. After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20 °C to -80 °C for a higher stability, and at 4 °C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
