PA1-7208 detects the Chlamydia trachomatis. This antibody cross reacts with Chlamydia psittacii and Chlamydia pneumoniae (TWAR). PA1-7208 has been successfully used in immunofluorescence procedures. Chlamydia trachomatis is an intracellular organism. Chlamydia usually infects the cervix and fallopian tubes of women and the urethra of men.
