Product Description
In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) GATA-1, rhGATA-2, rhGATA-3, rhGATA-4, and rhGATA-6 is observed. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS. GATA binding factor 5 is a transcription regulator involved in embryonic development. In addition, the protein encoded by this gene contains two GATA-type zinc fingers and is known to bind to hepatocyte nuclear factor-1alpha (HNF-1alpha). This interaction is essential for cooperative activation of the intestinal lactase-phlorizin hydrolase promoter. GATA-5 may be involved in the establishment of cardiac smooth muscle cell diversity.
