CLEC9A (C-type lectin domain family 9 member A), a transmembrane glycoprotein with a single extracellular C-type lectin domain (CTLD), plays a role in the immune response. As an activation receptor, CLEC9A is expressed on myeloid lineage cells, helps process material from dead cells, recognizes filamentous actin when cell membranes are damaged, and helps present antigens to cytotoxic T cells.
